AI can sound smart and still be wrong. That's why people trust it so easily—and why verification needs to be a habit, not an afterthought.
I use a simple trick called FACTS:
- F — Find sources: click through. Don't trust the summary.
- A — Ask questions: if something feels off, ask more.
- C — Consider what's missing: omissions can be as misleading as lies.
- T — Try letting AI say "I don't know": better than making it up.
- S — Save important responses and links: keep proof you can re-check and share.
Start every AI conversation with a FACTS mindset—you'll get sharper answers, better prompts, and fewer "did you just ChatGPT that?" moments.
